About the Role: We’re seeking a dependable Contract Website Developer with strong experience in WordPress to support ongoing website development, maintenance, and support tasks. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of builds and backend upkeep, works efficiently, and communicates clearly.
This is a contract role with consistent work and the opportunity to transition into a full-time position for the right fit.
Responsibilities
- Website development and page builds using WordPress
- Ongoing website maintenance and updates
- Perform plugin updates, theme updates, and CMS updates
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, errors, and bugs
- Handle support tasks such as content updates, layout adjustments, and form fixes
- Ensure sites remain secure, functional, and up to date
- Maintain responsive design and performance standards
- Communicate task progress clearly and meet deadlines
- Accept and complete assigned tasks within one business day
Requirements
- Proven experience with WordPress
- Strong understanding of website maintenance best practices
- Experience managing plugins, themes, and CMS updates
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues independently
- Excellent time management and reliability
- Strong attention to detail
- Clear written communication

- Basic HTML/CSS knowledge
